Equine Photogrpahy Contests
My passion for photography started in high school when I took a photography class during my senior year. Much to my surprise a photograph I took of my father for a class assignment won a first place ribbon at the county fair. I did not follow my passion into a career of photography after high school, but kept up my other interests showing and raising Welsh Ponies with my children and venturing into the field of Three Day Eventing. A camera was ever present at horse shows, and family activities. A move not too long ago took the Sjoberg family to a very remote corner in Northern CA at the base of the scenic Warner Mountains. The remote beauty and wilderness is an ever present pallet of changing colors and light which have become the focus of the main features of my photography. I have also added weddings and a variety of portrait photogrpahy to my resume. Please view my Weddings & Portraits Album for samples of my work. I have been busy submitting a variety of photographs in different contests. Several photographs including "Morning Ride" a photo of my husband Kurt and his QH mare Hanna, "Anticipation" and "A Late Lunch" have earned some national and local recognition with Equine Photographes Network Annual Photography Contest, Horses in Art Magazine and Range Magazine. These photos can be viewed in the Equine and Ranch Life Albums on my web site as well as the web sites for the contests.
